Why Intentional Father?

Because that is exactly what Fathering has to be, intentional.  We would not begin on any major aspect of life without first thinking it through, planning, preparing, making sure everything is in line.  So should it be with our children.  We have a duty to ensure they have not only the tools for life, but the role model as well.

Everywhere we look we see fathers portrayed in a mediocre light.  Television, advertisement, literature, everything is against us.  By working intentionally, we can overcome this persona, changing it to what is should be.

I hope that my writing will give inspiration, tools, and assurance to all fathers and would be fathers to help them on their journey.  I don’t profess to be a expert on the field, we all have aspects of our lives to work on.  What I can say though, is that I am devoted not only to my children, but to all children.  Devoted to giving them a chance to become our future by filling them with hope and love.

The idea of being intentional in fathering has strong roots in my spiritual philosophy.  This way of life, ensuring I am deliberate in my everyday life to show the love of God, was easily transformed into a fathering aspect.  Many of the resources on this page will have background in religion.  Some of you may not share my views spiritually, however since you are taking the first step on this journey by, we can at least share our love and dedication for being a father.

Thank you for your interest and for joining me in Intentionally Fathering.
